As with immediate effect, we announce some changes to our current Management structure within the Junior setup.
Rich Hill has decided to take a step back from his current roles as Team manager of both the Sunday XI and the U17/19 squads, to focus on his family and simply be a parent and enjoy watching Oliver with his Junior cricket journey.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Rich for all his efforts this season and last, providing many opportunities for development and growth within the junior system to make the jump from Junior to Senior as seamless as possible and ensuring the club's lifeline of future talent remains strong.
To back fill his roles and to keep our fixture promises, Sagar Patel will re-locate from his role as Head of U15 cricket, and oversee the running of the U19 squad and continue the work that Rich has done and guide them through their last 5x matches of the season, which all take place within the space of 8x days, starting this Sunday 3rd August.
Again, we would like to take this opportunity to thank Sagar for the work he has done this year with the U15s, bringing his vast experience and knowledge of the game to the next generation of ITCC junior talent, and hope he can continue the good work with the U19s.
Last night's U15A match away at Lutterworth was his last match in charge, and before the game he took a moment to sit down with the team to explain the upcoming changes and the reasons why.
Sam Gregory and Will Morgan will continue with the work they have been doing with the U15B team.
Responsibility for overseeing the U15A team, and Head Coach for the entire U15 squad until the end of the season will now fall to Paul Lakin with support from Howard Partridge. Picking up from the work they have been doing with the majority of these players since 2021.
Paul Lakin will also take charge and captain the Sunday XI for the last 2x matches of the season, with a view to the games being a proving ground / template for the potential 3rd XI next season.
Any concerns or questions relating to these changes, please raise these directly to Travis Plinston.
